Baby Shower: Whimsical Tea Party Ideas by the Sea
Today we are sharing some whimsical tea party ideas perfect for a baby shower at the beach. These include Mad Hatter tea party ideas, used at this beautiful tea party in Hermosa, Beach California with a perfect ocean breeze and gorgeous weather. A Mad Hatter party is a themed event inspired by the character of the Mad Hatter from Lewis Carroll’s “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.” It typically features whimsical and eccentric decorations, costumes, and activities reminiscent of the nonsensical and surreal world depicted in the book. Mad Hatter party is a fun and imaginative event that transports guests into the whimsical world of “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland,” allowing them to embrace their creativity and enjoy a surreal and fantastical experience.
This was the first area on the second floor of the restaurant. Painted wooden crooked frames were hung and centerpieces on each of the five tables. Fresh flowers were placed inside teacups and moss was used on top of mis matched trays.
The decorations are usually quirky, mismatched, and whimsical, reflecting the eccentric style of the Mad Hatter’s tea party in the story. This may include colorful teapots, mismatched tea cups, playing cards, oversized hats, and other fun elements.

The rooftop just right up the stairs was used for opening presents and playing games. Guests may participate in various games and activities inspired by the story, such as croquet (with flamingo mallets and hedgehog balls), Mad Hatter-themed trivia, or crafts like decorating hats or painting roses red.
When considering food and drinks, tea and tea-related treats are a central feature of a Mad Hatter party, mirroring the tea party scene from the book. This might include a variety of teas, sandwiches, scones, cakes, and other desserts. The presentation of the food and drinks is often creative and playful.
The restaurant was fabulous with amazing appetizers passed around and endless champagne mimosas.
