How to Make a Resin Pumpkin Fairy House Decor DIY

Step 1: Fast Cast Resin Begin this fairy garden pumpkin house by mixing the FastCast resin according to package directions in the 2 phase mixing process. Be sure to read through the instructions before mixing, because the resin sets up so quickly, you want to make sure you know the full process before beginning the mixing phase.
Start by mixing 1 part resin and 1 part hardener for a full 2 minutes on a work surface. Then pour the resin in a new cup and mix for 1 minute with a new stir stick.
Then carefully pour the resin in the silicone mold. Look at what a mess I made!No worries, it will set up and stay soft a few minutes so I can trim it up afterwards.
The resin will harden in 15 minutes, it changes from clear to white. Then pop the resin shapes out of the mold and use some sharp scissors to trim off the resin over fill.
Then remove the resin from the mold and use scissors to trim away excess sloppy resin. It trims up really easily and cleanly.
Now the cured resin pieces are ready for paint for the whole pumpkin.
Step 2: PaintingSecond, paint the pieces with a variety of fun colors. I used bright colors: aqua, fuchsia and red with gold accents.
Step 3: Hot GlueAfter the paint dries, use the hot glue gun to adhere the pieces to a foam pumpkin from the dollar store. You can begin with painting the pumpkin in the colors of your choice as well, these resin pumpkins accessories can also be glued on a real pumpkin or a plastic pumpkin.Make a little pumpkin patch spooky display of fairy houses–the perfect Halloween DIY!
Next step is to glue the door on the pumpkin with a little space below it for creating a little gravel sidewalk or dirt trail in your unique decor.
This is a great craft for kids to paint and arrange for their own spooky addition to a fairy garden.Add leaves to the top of the pumpkin with some hot glue.
Decorate your pumpkin projects with rocks, gravel, plants and dirt…or find some fairy figurines or little skeleton to add some more fun to this little pumpkin fairy house.Add some large pumpkins or a popsicle stick bench and have fun with your pumpkin fairy village.
That’s it!It’s so fun and easy to make a fairy village with fast cast resin and a simple fairy door pumpkin mold. The only thing I recommend is making a whole bunch of them! They are fun and a great way to decorate for Halloween or just to make a fun Harvest pumpkin house.
